Agricultural Land Usage
Soybean is currently the most widespread protein source in animal feed. Cultivation of soybean causes environmental harm through significant land use contributing to deforestation and land degradation. NextSource Industries provides a sustainable alternative, leveraging innovative techniques for a solution 150 times more space efficient.
Recycling Nutrients
Our insect farming operations utilise the unique abilities of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF), one of which being the ability to feed on a variety of food waste and by-products. This allows NextSource to combat the growing environmental concerns around excessive food waste.
Vertical Farming Approach
One of the key advantages of BSF farming is its ability to drastically reduce land usage. By stacking our production systems vertically, we are able to maximise capacity without requiring large amounts of horizontal land.
Reducing Animal Feed Emissions
Insects are incredibly efficient at converting organic material into biomass. Leveraging this ability, the short development time, and the ability to produce animal feed domestically will help reduce the overall carbon footprint of animal feed.
