Feeding Dried Calci Worms To Different Animals
For Wild Birds
Pour directly into bird feeder, bowl, or directly onto you lawn.

Dried Calci Worms can be fed all year round but are especially useful in the colder months when food is harder to find.
Always supply fresh water

Scatter the Dried Calci Worms near your birds. Doing this onto the floor and not into a bowl gives your birds more opportunity for scratching and foraging. Soon, your hens will recognise the container and will come running when they see you coming with their favourite treat. Make sure there is plenty of fresh water available.

Dried Calci Worms have a much better Calcium: Phosphorus ratio than other treats, such as mealworms, and so can be fed much more liberally.

How much Dried Calci Worms should I use at once?
For Chickens we would recommend throwing out a small handful per chicken. These treats are incredibly healthy and so a large proportion of their diet can be replaced with Dried Calci Worms so there is no risk of overfeeding them this treat.
For Wild Birds, adding to a mix of other food such as nuts is always a good idea but you can also fill an entire bird feeder with these. Top up as required.
Hedgehogs and Reptiles: A small plate with little pile is perfect topped up regularly is perfect.
Remember to always provide fresh water alongside your Dried Calci Worms
What if my chickens don't like Dried Calci Worms?
Some chickens may be suspicious of a new food at first. We find that in almost all cases, once a few of the chickens start trying them the rest will follow.
They will quickly grow to love them and come running when they see you bringing them.
How should I store my Dried Calci Worms
If you bought a refill bag, transfer your Dried Calciworms into an airtight container. Keep them somewhere a cool and dry and they will last for up to 6 months.
