Which animals can eat dried Calci worms? Dried Calci worms are a nutritional "superfood" for a wide variety of animals. They are ideal for reptiles (like Bearded Dragons and Leopard Geckos), wild birds, laying hens, and hedgehogs. Because they are high in protein and calcium, they support bone health and eggshell strength. For pet chickens, we would recommend our live Calci Worms!

Do I need to soak dried Calci worms before feeding? You don’t have to, but it is often recommended! While most animals will eat them dry, soaking them in warm water for 10–15 minutes "rehydrates" the worms. This makes them easier to digest and helps keep your pets or garden birds hydrated.

Why are Calci worms better than mealworms? The main advantage is the Calcium-to-Phosphorus ratio. Mealworms are often high in phosphorus, which can actually deplete calcium from an animal's bones. Calci worms have a naturally balanced ratio (2:1), meaning they provide essential nutrients without the need for additional calcium "dusting" powders.
